Our Platform as a Service solution offers the opportunity for partners to take hardware from their existing range and work with us to integrate that product so that it can communicate via broadband with our platform. By doing this, a device can realise a whole new set of functionality.

The how

Using our API/SDK layers it becomes straightforward for 3rd parties to integrate their devices with our platform so that they can be monitored and controlled. Our experience developing services around our own products gives us excellent knowledge of how to overcome and foresee any pitfalls.

The why

Using our platform developer tools in this way will open up a whole new set of functionality for the devices, and a whole new market for the manufacturers which will give them a slice of what looks set to become a huge market, predicted to be worth $13.4 Billion by 2014 (Source). This will entirely change the business model, as new and recurring income streams become available from service revenues.
