Posted: 22nd December 2009

Northampton, UK 8 December 2008

See Intamac Systems Ltd demonstrate a range of next generation added value services for the connected home market, at the CES show in Las Vegas from 8-11 January 2009.

Global market leader in home monitoring service provision, Intamac Systems have launched the next generation of broadband enabled products and services across Europe, with partners such as British Telecom, Yale, and most recently with WoonVeilig and LOCKON. These self-install wireless products & added value services are designed to increase the ARPU and reduce the churn rates from service providers’ end-user customer base.

As the first company to offer interactive web based home monitoring and control services, Intamac have continued to grow, and have active partners and platforms on 3 Continents.  Recent expansion has seen the company establish Intamac North America, and build a platform in a leading ISP in Toronto.  Plans are advanced to relocate key staff and establish offices in Boston during 2009, to support the growing customer base and partner interest in the wider connected home market.  Supporting these plans, Intamac will be demonstrating a range of new Z-wave enabled devices, home monitoring services, home security and energy management solutions at the CES show in January.

These new products and services represent the first in a wave of new bundled monitoring propositions for the home.  Including low cost video, these new services are specifically designed to leverage the value of broadband and provide new recurring revenue streams for established operators and service providers. By using open SW architecture and API’s, Intamac will demonstrate how their remote platform can network a range of disparate devices in consumers’ homes, signal alarms and user-selectable activity alerts, and then report a range of events to the user in their home using VoIP, the DECT phone interface, mobile handsets and devices such as digital picture frames.

This unique approach has immediate advantages for service partners wishing to create value added bundles of services, providing a variety of devices and advanced applications, from domestic security and environmental management, to care and monitoring of the elderly. Most importantly, it demonstrates the possibilities of leveraging the home gateway to generate increased revenues for service providers, without having to demand customer investment in completely new hardware or complicated installation.

Intamac’s founder and CEO Kevin Meagher commented, “These are exciting and revolutionary times.  The connected home market is rapidly growing, with major service provides and product & device manufacturers such as BT, Cisco Linksys, Thomson, DSC Tyco and even Nokia all now actively developing propositions. Service providers see the benefit from increased revenue and reduced churn, and demonstrating these new capabilities working live at CES is the perfect opportunity to build new partner and business relationships in North America, and to show the services we are already providing to the wider global market.”

Kevin will be presenting and speaking at CES – If you would like see at first hand what Intamac can do, contact us in advance at to arrange a personal meeting at the event.
