Intamac and Techicolor worked together to integrate Technicolor's Qeo communication framework into the Intamac connected home solution, creating a next generation smart home proposition.
Technicolor designed Qeo as an open software framework that bridges smart home services, entertainment services, connected devices, and over-the-top cloud solutions. With Qeo, all operating systems, middleware, and applications can be interconnected and “speak to one another” to deliver new value added services and applications for the Connected Life.
Intamac used its embedded software solution, Rhenium, to integrate with the Qeo framework, allowing for Intamac's home monitoring, video, security, energy and senior care services to seemlessless come together with other service domains, such as multimedia and entertainment systems.
The framework enables devices from different brands, operating different standards, to come together under a single, unified system, working seemlessly together. The software can be deployed on a number of gateways/STBs, making the user experience simple, with out the need for multiple gateways in the home.
